Tommy Stewart’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning gave Niskayuna a 7-6 victory over Christian Brothers Academy Monday, May 20, in a Suburban Council baseball game.
Peter O’Toole’s three-run homer highlighted CBA’s four-run seventh inning rally that tied the score at 6-6. But, Niskayuna got the winning run across to close out its regular season with a 12-4 league record and an overall record of 13-5.
Aaron Whitley posted a four-hit afternoon for Niskayuna, including a two-run homer and a two-run triple. GUILDERLAND CENTER – Guilderland scored five runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to pull ahead for good in a 12-4 victory over Albany Wednesday, May 15, in a Suburban Council baseball game.
Albany took a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning, only to see Guilderland rally for two runs in the bottom of the third. The Falcons pushed across a run in the top of the fourth to regain a slim advantage before the Dutchmen rallied in the bottom half of the frame, For good measure, Guilderland added five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Nick Szesnat tossed a two-hit shutout to lead Shaker to a 6-0 victory over Shenendehowa Wednesday, May 8, in a Suburban Council baseball game.

Jake Reinisch hit an RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Shenendehowa a 4-3 victory over Columbia Monday, May 6, in a Suburban Council baseball game.
The Plainsmen took a 1-0 lead on Ben Lavery’s RBI single in the bottom of the third inning, but the Blue Devils plated three runs in the top of the fifth to pull ahead 3-1. Ryan Strevell plated the go-ahead run for Columbia with an RBI single.
Lavery hit a leadoff home run in the bottom of the sixth inning to pull Shen within one run, and Thomas Krill tied the game with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh inning. SCHENECTADY – Shenendehowa broke open the game with a four-run sixth inning on its way to an 11-2 victory over Schenectady Tuesday, April 23, at Central Park.
Thomas Krill and Nick Lemire hit back-to-back RBI singles to get Shen’s rally going. Sam Law scored on a double play, and Evan Bean singled in Krill to give the Plainsmen a 9-2 advantage. Niskayuna scored 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to pull away for an 11-4 victory over Schenectady Wednesday, April 17, in a Suburban Council baseball game.
Aaron Whitley belted a three-run homer to highlight the Silver Warriors’ scoring spurt. Chris Erickson doubled, tripled and drove in three runs, while James Murphy, Tim Schaffer and Jack Murray all contributed a pair of hits.

NISKAYUNA – Niskayuna fended off a seventh-inning rally to defeat Troy 13-11 Friday, April 12 in a Suburban Council baseball game.
The Flying Horses scored nine runs in the top of the seventh to close a large deficit, but Robert Schneider recorded the final out of the game to earn the save. The Silver Warriors used four pitchers in the seventh inning after starter Robert Morra allowed two unearned runs and struck out seven in six innings of work.
