A five-goal third quarter propelled Shenendehowa past Christian Brothers Academy 11-8 Thursday, May 2, in a Suburban Council boys lacrosse game.
Eric Makhatadze had four goals and two assists to lead the Plainsmen, who trailed 6-5 at halftime before taking control of the game. Billy Beach recorded a hat trick, and goaltender Jacob Aragones made nine saves.

Griffin King’s big day fueled Niskayuna’s 15-8 victory over Bethlehem Thursday, April 25, in a Suburban Council boys lacrosse game.

Shaker limited Columbia to eight shots on goal on its way to posting an 8-1 victory Thursday, April 11, in a Suburban Council boys lacrosse game.
Sean McLean and Zach Mein each notched a pair of goals for the Blue Bison, who took control of the game with a five-goal second quarter. Logan Souza contributed a goal and two assists, and goalie Ryan Mazzariello stopped seven shots.

Ballston Spa played well at both ends of the field to defeat Shaker 10-1 Tuesday, April 9, in a Suburban Council boys lacrosse game at Schuylerville High School.
Seven players recorded goals for the Scotties, and goaltender Gregg Dort nearly posted a shutout, stopping seven of the eight shots he faced. Lucas Bennice, Ethan Thomas and Demetri Yerou all scored a pair of goals to lead Ballston Spa’s balanced attack. SCHENECTADY – The Niskayuna boys lacrosse team showcased the depth of talent it possesses with Saturday’s 14-2 Suburban Council victory over Shenendehowa at Union College’s Frank Bailey Field.
Seven different players scored goals, and the defense allowed Shen a total of 11 shots on goal as the Silver Warriors remained undefeated after three league games.

Shawn Hennessey became Shaker boys lacrosse’s all-time winningest coach with the Blue Bison’s 15-0 Suburban Council victory over Averill Park Thursday, April 4, in Latham.
Shaker struck for six goals in the first quarter on its way to giving Hennessey his 141st career win. Matt Calicchia, Amos Grimm and Sean McLean all had hat tricks to lead a balanced Blue Bison attack.
Shenendehowa pulled out an 11-10 overtime victory over Saratoga Springs. Eric Makahatdze notched the game winner as part of a two-goal afternoon, and Billy Beach tallied four times for the Plainsmen.

A nine-goal second quarter propelled Shenendehowa to a 17-1 victory over Colonie in its Suburban Council season opener Tuesday, April 2.
Senior attackman Eric Makhatadze led the Plainsmen with a seven-goal effort. Four more players – sophomore midfielder Kyle Acker, junior midfielder Billy Beach, senior attackman Matt Newhall and junior midfielder Ryan Shanahan – contributed two goals apiece.
Shane Rossi had the lone goal for Colonie, and goaltender Justin Loudis stopped 13 shots.
