MIDDLEBURGH – The New Lebanon boys soccer team scored three unanswered goals in a 10-minute period of the second half to edge Berne-Knox-Westerlo/Duanesburg 3-2 in the Middleburgh Tournament final Saturday, Aug. 25.
Paulinho Scolari notched two goals, and James Lambert added another to lead the Tigers (2-0) to the tournament championship. Lambert also recorded an assist, and Keagan Carson contributed a pair of helpers for New Lebanon.
Andrew Drescher and Nick Perillo scored goals to give BKW/Duanesburg (1-1) a 2-0 lead in the second half.
