Hudson Falls boys soccer fends off Lansingburgh rally

LANSINGBURGH – Nik Heasley’s two second-half goals helped Hudson Falls edge Lansingburgh 3-2 Friday, Sept. 21, in a non-league boys soccer game.

Heasley scored off an assist from Shane Grimes in the 51st minute to give the visiting Tigers (6-4) a 2-0 lead. Andrew Trolio trimmed Hudson Falls’ advantage to 2-1 on a goal seven minutes later, but Heasley struck again off a Carter Lewis pass to put the Tigers up a pair of goals.

Michael Palermo tallied in the 71st minute to draw Lansingburgh (3-5) close once again, but Hudson Falls was able to hang on for the victory,

Lewis had a first-half goal, and goalkeeper Justin Fenton had 11 saves for Hudson Falls.
