Schoharie traveled north on Route 30 to Northville Wednesday, Sept. 19, and defeated the Falcons 4-1 in a Western Athletic Conference boys soccer game.
Derek Dietz jumpstarted Schoharie’s offense with a pair of early goals. Noah Fagnani added a goal before halftime to increase the Indians’ lead to 3-0.
Nate Reidell tallied in the second half to draw Northville within two goals of the lead, but Fagnani struck again off a set piece to put Schoharie up 4-1. The Indians continued to apply pressure on the Falcons’ defense, but goalkeeper Chase Wood made several saves to prevent any further damage.
Wood finished with 10 saves for Northville, while Schoharie goalie Bailey Smart stopped eight shots.
