The Mohonasen girls basketball team made a successful Colonial Council debut by defeating Lansingburgh 62-46 Friday, Nov. 30, in Rotterdam.
Breanna Lott poured in 32 points to lead the Mighty Warriors. Patience Riley scored 12 points for Lansingburgh.
In other Colonial Council action, Albany Academy for Girls defeated Watervliet 51-38, and Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk won a defensive battle with Cohoes 34-26.
Aaliyah Juste netted 15 points, Mianna Jackson contributed 13 points and Cydney Owens added 10 points for Albany Academy for Girls. Makayla Milligan had 13 points for Watervliet.
Lauren Sanderson scored eight points to lead a balanced attack for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, which jumped out to a 13-3 lead in the first quarter. Maggie Saunders paced Cohoes with nine points, while Olivia Huneau chipped in with eight points.
