Three consecutive pins by middleweights Tyler Stanton, Bassir Rezek and Ghassan Chehade helped Shaker defeat Saratoga Springs 42-35 Wednesday, Jan. 9, in a Suburban Council wrestling match.

Stanton (152 pounds) pinned Jake DeLuca with seven seconds left in the second period to get the streak going for the Blue Bison. Rezek (160) pinned David Wilk midway through the second period of their bout, and Chehade (170) followed suit with a second-period pin over Spencer Cornell.

Doug Cooper (220 pounds) and Kyle Griskowitz (99) scored pins to help Saratoga build an 18-0 lead before Jashon Holmes (106) and Michael Santore (113) recorded falls to get Shaker back in the match.

Guilderland eased past Colonie 54-22 behind pins from Sean Collins (160 pounds), Cameran Durant (182), Nick Dunnells (195), Alexander Grupe (99), Ryan O’Keefe (120), Marcus Berroa (126), James Hough (138) and Jeffrey Jensen (152). Robbie Behan (113) and Derek Disanto (145) won by fall for the Garnet Raiders.

Columbia downed Bethlehem 71-6 as TJ Scaccia (160 pounds) and Nathan Delamater (220) pinned their opponents for the Blue Devils. Anthony Canova (132) and Nick Gicewicz (170) won their bouts for Bethlehem.

Eight forfeits helped Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake defeat Schenectady 81-6. Jakai Townsend (182 pounds), Vincent Daviero (195), Chris Serafini (220), David Hess (145) and Tristan Gross (152) added pins for the Spartans.
