Queensbury scored the first eight goals of the game on its way to a 14-2 victory over Scotia-Glenville Thursday, April 11, in a Foothills Council boys lacrosse game.
Sam Benedetto paced the Spartans with a four-goal, three-assist performance. Paul Wright notched a hat trick and two assists, and Sean Collins tallied three times for Queensbury.
Scotia-Glenville goaltender Soren Silar stopped 18 shots in the face of near-constant pressure by Queensbury. James Almond and Jackson Spikereit scored the Tartans’ two goals.
Elsewhere in the Foothills Council, Glens Falls defeated Amsterdam 13-5. Brian Donlan recorded a hat trick, and Carter Vanderminden added two goals and three assists for the Indians, who broke the game open with a five-goal third quarter.
Anthony Barone-Lopez struck for a pair of goals, and goalie Matt Johnson made 24 saves for the Rugged Rams.
