Overtime goal eliminates Bethlehem girls lacrosse in state semifinals

CORTLAND – Katie Pascale’s overtime goal lifted Section 3 champion Baldwinsville to a 15-14 victory over Bethlehem in the Class A girls lacrosse state semifinals Friday, June 6, at SUNY Cortland.

The Lady Eagles rallied from a 10-2 first-half deficit to take a 14-12 lead late in the second half before the Bees struck twice to force overtime.

Pascale finished with six goals and three assists, and Emma Gebhardt tallied four times for Baldwinsville. Lauren Riker struck for five goals, and Avery Jones contributed a hat trick and two assists for Bethlehem. Lindsey Ayres added two goals and four assists for the Lady Eagles.

Bethlehem finished the season with a 15-2 record.
